Playful Bunnies Class News-It was our Pizza week! One of our favorite books this week was Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party. In the book, they use lots of new foods to top their pizza. We did a story related craft where we painted a paper plate and topped it with different toppings from the book. We even tried some of the foods (pretzels, pickles and pepperoni) and graphed whether we like them or not. We also read Hi, Pizza Man. It was a favorite too! Really fun indoor week, but looking forward to getting back outside as soon as possible!

Cool Cats News: All the snow prompted a big practice of how to make snow angels in our Cool Cat Center room. The Cool Cats are ready to make beautiful angles in the snow! ❄️ We did make time to learn about the letter ‘R’, a shape review, and the number 0. We are beginning our number board which reviews the numeral number, how to write the number, the spelling of the number, counting fingers, and counting clothes pins on a line. We did two Rainbow crafts-cutting rainbow color squares on a letter
‘R’ and painting a rainbow using Q-tips. We learned a song to memorize the colors of the rainbow to the tune of Twinkle Little Star and read a book called ‘Color Mix’ about making all the colors of the rainbow using red, blue, and yellow. Friday ended our week using Rhythm Sticks for Music and Movement time.

Top Dogs News: Next week we will work on the letters P and Q. Mr. P, Pointy Patches, the Party Planner has been helping us get ready for our Valentine’s day party. He has brought us Pretzels, Popcorn, Pistachios, Pepperoni, Pineapple, Peanut butter cookies, Potato chips, Paper clips, a potato and a parachute! We worked on learning our opposites, read lots of Valentine’s day books, and made some special valentines.
