Summer Camp-Day #4

Today we traveled to Antarctica by row boat!  We rowed away as we sang “Row, Row, Row, Your Boat”.  We talked about how Antarctica was the coldest continent and about how penguins and seals live there, but very few people, basically just scientists.  We also talked about how Antarctica is a dessert, even though it is cold, and not hot.  We made “sparkly ice paintings” for art, ate popsicles, since you may feel like a popsicle in Antarctica, and played, “Duck, Duck, Penguin”.  Since it was hard to find any music that originated out of Antarctica, we played “Pass the Penguin” to our state rock song “Hang on Sloopy”.  We really enjoyed the week with great weather and a great group of campers.  We look forward to seeing you all at the next camp, where we will explore Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia.
