Top Dogs Class News:  For our letter F this week, we met Mr. Funny Feet and boy, was he funny!  Each day he told us a new Halloween  joke.  One day he gave us Fruit by the Foot and one day he brought us a fishing game!     We learned all about the color brown and signs of Fall.  We also worked on learning about Fire Safety:  Stop, Drop and Roll, Never play with dangerous fire things, Crawl Low under smoke, When there is a fire get out and stay out, Go to your family meeting place, and call 911 in an emergency.

Cool Cats and Kittens News-This week the Cats and Kittens got to know the letter G.  We read lots of books this week. One was about a gorilla who visited a little boy. Another was about a giraffe who likes to read, and we also read a book about how great Grandpas are.  We had a lot of fun with our crafts this week too.  We made a giraffe, a G with grapes, and as we read the book Go Away Big Green Monster, we assembled our own a big green monsters.  The number of the week was 6.  Using our fingers as counters, we realized that 3 and 3, 4 and 2, and 5 and 1 all make 6.   We had a grape tasting this week too.  Everyone tried green and red grapes then we graphed who liked the red grapes and who liked the green grapes.  At the centers this week, we stamped on big paper, made ghosts by tracing our hands, and played a counting game. On Tuesday, we celebrated Jesse’s 4th birthday. It was another great week for the Cats and Kittens.
