Office News-There are still a few medical forms that need to be turned in.  Please sent them in as soon as possible.  :).

TOP DOGS News-This week we met Mister B who has Beautiful Buttons. He brought us lots of fun things that start with the letter “B”-balls, a bus puzzle, “Don’t Spill the Beans” game, bears and  buttons.  We ended the week with a brilliant bubble battle!   We learned all about the color blue.  We read lots of books about bears and “The Wheels On the Bus”.    We learned about being “Out of Order” with our preschool pal Ollie and talked about how to “Stop, Think & Act”.  We learned about being “Chip the Wonder Dog” and not an “Awful Augie”.

PLAYFUL BUNNIES News-What a great week for the Bunnies! Our Bunnies love craft time – we made little cakes out of our birthday playdough (Happy Birthday, Drew!), painted a brown bear mask after reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, and colored butterflies with markers. We also used tissue paper on contact paper to make our sticky butterflies. We’ve continued our bug theme reading books about bugs, including In The Tall, Tall Grass. We have a play box in our room to explore our own tall, tall grass and see what’s hidden in it. The Bunnies have really settled into school and are having so much fun!

Cool Cats News-This week’s Roundup will feature our Center Time. After we have taken attendance, the Cool Cats may enter the classroom and choose any center that interests them.   Many centers are offered including art and coloring, puzzles, educational manipulatives, blocks and pretend play, felt board, and a reading/book corner. Mrs. Susan and Mrs. Kelly use this time to do one on one projects, play group games, or read books to smaller groups of students.  It’s a very pleasant way to start the school day as students get to make a personal choice on how they spend the first 45-50 minutes of the day.  The centers are rotated every two weeks to keep the students engaged and learning new things. The Cool Cats have started the Letter of the Week curriculum last week. This week’s letter is ‘B’. Our books, words, art projects, and classrooms games all relate to words that start with ‘B’.   We are also still sharing our summer fun posters at meeting time.  Thanks for sending them in.
