Playful Bunnies News:  The Bunnies had a busy week full of farm, firetruck and Halloween fun! We’ve been practicing our Halloween songs for the party – maybe your Bunny has been singing some at home?? We also added a farmers market and cash registers to our play room – lots of fun! For crafts, we mixed red and yellow paint to make fire, made a cotton ball lamb mask (and sang Mary Had a Little Lamb), used band-aids to fix up a Humpty Dumpty and painted a pumpkin shape by rolling golf balls. Fun week!

Cool Cats News: The Cool Cats had a fun week learning about the letter ‘H’, the number 7, and a Hexagon.  The cooler weather has brought excitement for ‘Halloween’, which has been our main teaching tool for H.   We read several Halloween Books and branched off to making Halloween Monsters with Play dough and reading silly monster books.  This Cool Cat class loves doing art!  We have art projects 3 times a week where we focus on strengthen fine motor skills and following verbal directions by coloring, painting, glueing, stamping, and using scissors.  Our book at second meeting almost always introduces our project.  This week we made Hedgehogs, stamped Hearts, and created Halloween monsters.  👹

Top Dogs News: This week we played lots of Games with Mr. G Gooey Gum!   We then had a “Blink” Walk with Glow sticks and then played “Guess the Glow” with a Halloween Flashlight.  We read “Goodnight Moon”, “Goodnight Goon”, “Ghosts in the house”, a bunch of Curious George books, “Go, Dog, Go” and “Go Away, Big Green Monster”.  Our song of the week is “Float Little ghosts” and our clean up song is “Ghostbusters”.  We began learning more about body parts with “Mr. Bones” and began to work on our big show for the Halloween party!
