Playful Bunnies Class News-We had a fun week learning about the letter P and the zoo! This was our last week of the zoo in our playroom. The bunnies had fun pretending with all the zoo animals! During craft time, we made a polar bear, polka dot pants, a penguin, and we played with zoo animals in play dough. During circle time, we read many fun books while learning about the letter p. One of our favorites was Sing and Dance in Your Polka Dot Pants by Eric Litwin. During centers, the bunnies had fun making a peacock. Part of that process was using a dropper, which is really good practice for fine motor skills. What a fun, busy week!

Cool Cats Class News-‘P’ and ‘Q’ were our letters of the week!   The Cool Cats enjoyed a sneak peak of our science week that will happen the last month of school.  We used two Pineapples to practice our observations skills, our experiment skills, and  recording our findings.  We observed how the pineapples were two different colors on the outside, and two different colors on the inside.  We tasted both pineapples, and came to the conclusion that one was riper, sweater, more yellow and juicer than another.  Most of our students ‘liked’ pineapple.  In the end,  they ate BOTH pineapples.  We finished the day with a pineapple stamping craft using scissors to cut the spikes.  We also enjoyed learning about quilts, your own quilt square will come home later this month.

Top Dogs News:   We met Mr. P, Pointy Patches the Party Planner, who is helping us get ready for our Valentine’s Day party!  He brought us Popcorn, Pretzels and Pepperoni for our Valentine’s Day party.  He also brought us the game “Pretty, Pretty, Princess.” We read the books “Popcorn” ,”Pete the Cat’s Perfect Pizza Party” and some Valentines Day books.
