Playful Bunnies News: What a great week back! The Bunnies talked a little more on Monday about Halloween, costumes, trick or treat and candy, of course! We read some of our favorite Halloween books again including the Big Pumpkin audiobook. We got creative making monsters out of playdough. Then Tuesday, we moved on with our new puppet friend, Izzy the Iguana. She loves ice cream and brought some great ice cream books and felt plays. Elephant and Piggie – Should I Share My Ice Cream? was a favorite! We used puffy paint to paint an ice cream cone. We have new ice cream toys and a pretend ice cream parlor, so lots of dishing up ice cream and serving it! We even tasted different flavors of ice cream and graphed/counted our favorites. What a fun week!!

Cool Cats News:  The Cool Cats had a great week learning about the letter ‘J’, the number 3, and a crescent. Our art projects included a gluing jewels on the letter J, a painting jellyfish project, and a gluing jelly beans on a jar. We read books about jellyfish and learned their bodies are called bells, they have tentacles that sting, and a mouth to eat pray.  We are also enjoying the warm days to play outside during large muscle time.  When possible, we finish our day in muscle room to ride a few laps, run around, and roll on the mats.

Top Dogs News:  This week we met Miss “I’, incredible inventor.  She brought us some of her inventions to try out including a back scratcher, astronaut ice cream, and brain pills.  We continued learning about the days of the week, the weather, and the pledge of allegiance.  We sang lots of songs- “Mr. Sun”, “The Leaves are Falling Down”, “The Leaves on the Trees”, “Did you ever see a tree?”, “Gray Squirrel”,  “America”, “I’m a Nut” and “1 little, 2 little, 3 little, Wompanoags”.  We read “Earl the Squirrel”, “Pete the Cat’s Thanksgiving” and “Clifford’s Thanksgiving Visit”.  We are starting to prepare for our Thanksgiving Party show.
