Mixed-up Chameleons News-(MUC)-We kicked off our time together by playing “Duck, Duck, Goose” and “The Farmer in the Dell”.  We then moved on to our group learning time where we learned a lot about days, weeks, months and years.  We read the book “Today is Monday” by Eric Carle and participated in a brainstorming activity revolving this book.  We learned more about the four seasons and participated in a season sort.  We had our shape lesson on squares and reviewed our colors from color days.

Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News: “K” is for kindness week!  This week we learned about the first Thanksgiving and about how the Pilgrim’s and Wampanoag’s showed kindness to each other.  For health/science, we have been learning about the different parts of the body.  We have also been practicing our songs for the upcoming Thanksgiving Feast.

Friday Enrichment News- We have finished up our Thanksgiving unit with wonderful turkeys.  This week we will have no class due to Thanksgiving break.  Enjoy your time off!  When we return we will start our holiday unit and the letter L.

Brown Bear/Polar Bear News:  We are still busy practicing our songs for the Thanksgiving feast, and we can’t wait to sing for you on Tuesday!  In art we decorated our pilgrim hats, played with shaving cream and made leaves out of coffee filters.  We hope everyone enjoys all the yummy food at the feast and have a great break!!
