Summer Camp-Day #1
Today we started off camp by learning about all seven continents. We sang “He’s got the Whole World in His Hands” and added in a verse about all seven continents. We talked about how dinosaur bones have been discovered on every continent, even Antarctica! We read the book “The Dinosaur Who Lived In My Backyard” by B.G. Hennessy and participated in a sorting activity called the “Triceratops Tromp” while we listened to “I am a Paleontologist” by They Might Be Giants. We made our world at art and dressed up in clothes from around the world in the dramatic play area. Campers listened to the book “Come over to My House” by Theo. LeSieg, a.k.a., Theodore Geisel, a.k.a. Rosetta Stone, a.k.a. Dr. Seuss! that showed us different people and different houses from around our wonderful world, with the message that “There are so many houses you’ll meet on your way And wherever you go, you will hear someone say… “Come over to my house! come over and play!”
