Playful Bunnies Class News-We had a fun week learning about letter W, Spring, Easter, and Camping. This week we added fishing to our camping theme. The bunnies had fun catching, measuring, and cooking the fish over the campfire. During craft we made a kite with stickers for spring, did a listening activity with coloring the correct color on Pete the Cat’s shoes, painted spring trees, and had fun with birthday play dough. During circle time we read and listened to Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, retold the story of the Three Little Pigs, and read Easter books and did a freeze dance to an Easter bunny song. Have a fun and safe Spring break!
Cool Cats Class News-The Cool Cats took a break from the Letter of the Week curriculum to enjoy all things Easter and Spring. We made an Easter Bunny and Easter Egg craft, read books about egg hunts and the Easter Bunny, played some Egg letter matching games, and practiced hiding and finding our own Easter Eggs at school. The Cool Cats have been taking their time with their art projects as they practice skills like cutting with scissors, gluing, and writing their names on the back of their papers. They should be proud of their continued improvement each week! We had some special visitors this week including Mrs. Suzanne (our lunch bunch teacher and substitute) and Mrs. Kelly’s daughter, Kathryn. Kathryn is a freshman at Miami University studying elementary education. She loves your children and the Cool Cats really enjoy her having her at school. 🐱
Top Dogs Class News: This week we met Mr. V, Violet Velvet Vest and his son, Very Veggie. We read the book “Creepy Carrots” and ate some carrots. We tried tomatoes and read the book “Growing Vegetable Soup”. We tried Vegemite and Mrs. Kim’s stinky salad. We learned all about Easter and ended our week with a progressive Easter Egg hunt that helped us work on counting, adding and good sportsmanship.
