Cool Cats News:

Happy 3rd Birthday Pearl!!!!!   And thank you for the delicious cupcakes, the Cool Cats loved them!!!  The Cool Cats have quickly settled into the school routine.  After we clean up our center areas, it’s time for large muscle time.  We try to go out the playground every day until the weather reaches below 32 degrees and there is no precipitation.  The Cool Cats enjoy all the playground equipment, playing tag, looking for bugs, digging in the mulch, and making up lots of pretend scenarios.  We will go the Muscle Room on cold, rainy, or snowy days.  The Muscle Room is stocked with bikes, scooters, balls, and a small slide.  We spend 30-40 minutes outside.   The Cool Cats do a great job sitting for our first meeting time because they have had the chance to run off their energy during this important part of their day.  The Cool Cats have also enjoyed learning about the letter ‘C’ this week.  Our highlight was eating Cupcakes on the day we read about ‘Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes’ and doing a cupcake craft.  Thank you again Pearl!!!!

Playful Bunnies Class News: B is for butterfly and bugs! This week the bunnies had a fun week with the life cycle of a butterfly. During craft time, we read The Very Hungry Caterpillar and used glue sticks to create butterflies. We then water color painted the butterflies. We also painted egg cartons green to become the very hungry caterpillar. We also used bugs with play dough. During circle time, we talked about the letter B with our puppet, Bella the ballerina, read bug books, and sang songs that focused on colors. What a fun, busy week!
