Playful Bunnies News: I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! We had such a fun week learning about the letter I with ice cream! During craft, we glued scoops on an ice cream cone and counted our scoops. We also used puffy paint and sprinkles to make an ice cream. The bunnies also got to taste ice cream!! We then picked our favorite ice cream and graphed our favorites! We had a fun felt ice cream play and read a favorite book, Should I Share My Ice Cream? By Mo Willems. We also had some fun with nursery rhymes and fairytales including: Humpty Dumpty and The Three Little Pigs. What a fun, yummy week!

Cool Cats News: Welcome Back Cool Cats! 🐈  We had a great week getting back into the routines of school. We focused our learning on the letter ‘J’ and the sound it makes.  We glued Jewels on a letter J, filled a jellybean jar with paper jellybeans, and painted a jellyfish with sparkled purple paint and glued on its tentacles.  The Cool Cats are starting to sit quietly for books and have really enjoyed the art table in the center classroom. The students love to practice with scissors and use the mini stamps. Our music and movement time involved balancing bean bags on our body parts and singing the Bean Bag Bop!

Top Dogs News:  This week we met Miss “I’, incredible inventor.  She brought us some of her inventions to try out including a back scratcher, astronaut ice cream, and brain pills.  We continued learning about the days of the week, the weather, and the pledge of allegiance.  We sang lots of songs- “Mr. Sun”, “The Leaves are Falling Down”, “The Leaves on the Trees”, “Did you ever see a tree?”, “Gray Squirrel”,  “America”, “I’m a Nut” and “1 little, 2 little, 3 little, Wompanoags”.  We read “Earl the Squirrel”, “Pete the Cat’s Thanksgiving” and “Clifford’s Thanksgiving Visit”.  We are starting to prepare for our Thanksgiving Party show.
