Thank you-A big THANK YOU from all of your teachers for the kind and generous Christmas gifts! We really appreciate each one, but more than that, we are so thankful you and your families are at our preschool. You make our preschool so amazing!
It looks like more snow is heading our way-
Dear Preschool Parents and Pals,
It’s been a white start to the Winter season! Wanted to pass along more information about winter weather procedures.
As you all have already been made aware of, if Wyoming closes or delays for weather we will CLOSE for the day. You will receive a notice through your remind app. As stated in our handbook, we have SIX calamity days. We have already used two. If we need to cancel more than six times, we will either refund your tuition, or add more school days into the school year.
Snow/ice removal can be complicated at the preschool, especially since we enter through the playground area. With the snow and ice, there may be some days we will have to re-route through the Worthington Avenue entrance. This area can lead to a “bottleneck” experience. If possible, please line up on the sidewalk at the bottom of the steps, not entering the single pathway to the “coded” door. We will have a staff member meet you at the bottom of the church steps and then direct your child into the classrooms. We will also do the same thing for dismissal. If we do need to reroute, we will notify you by remind before 9:00 a.m. Please let your “care team” know, or have them sign up for the class remind app.
Wishing you all lots of fun memory making time- sledding, snowman making and drinking hot chocolate together!
Registration Update for 2025-2026-

Kindergarten Readiness
Preschool registration for the 2026-2027 school year will start on Tuesday, January 13th.
If your child is 5 before September 30th, 2026, he or she is eligible to attend kindergarten in Wyoming Schools. (Other school districts may be different, so please check your district start date. ) The questions of readiness is another story. Each child, family and family situation are different, which plays into the decision of when to start kindergarten. If your child turns 5 between May and September, the following are a few items to think about when considering Kindergarten Readiness.
- Younger students may develop academic and social skills later than the older students in their class.
- Most parents, in the Wyoming Schools District, wait to send their children the following year for kindergarten if their birthdays fall during this time. Follow up with your child’s district to see what is typically done.
- Most parents of boys will wait if a birthday is during this time.
- Some parents wait to give their child another year of “childhood” before starting the rigors of their schooling career.
- A child who waits usually has a distinct advantage. Being older, more confident, and potentially bigger, gives them an advantage over the younger kids.
- If you plan on having your child play sports.
- Is your child a leader, or a follower? Will he or she be able to stick to their morals, or be easily swayed by those around them?
- What do you want their High School days to look like? Driving first of last in their grade? Scholarships? Dating life?
- How old would you like them to be when they attend college? Younger or Older?
- Keep in mind both social skills and academic skills. Would attending another year of preschool benefit my child in either of these areas?
As always, please reach out to your teachers to answer any questions regarding your preschooler’s kindergarten readiness.
Please remember, that ultimately when to send your child to kindergarten is your decision, but we are happy to assist with the process of deciding.
