Playful Bunnies Class News: T is for T-Rex!! The Bunnies have dinosaurs out in the playroom and that’s been fun! (Some of our bunnies know a lot of dinosaur names!) We’ve read a lot of dinosaur books this week and have done some fun dinosaur crafts – painting dinosaur footprints, using dinosaur stickers, and playing playdough with dinosaurs. We even washed our dinosaurs in the water table. We worked on shape identification and made a shape train. Our letter puppet, Timothy the Turtle, had fun teaching us about the letter T – we even got to try writing the letter T. On top of all that, it was Bike-a-Thon! What a fun week!
Cool Cats Class News: ‘T’ is for Trees, Turtles, and Teeth! The Cool Cats leaned about the letter ‘T’, the sound it makes, the number Ten, and a Triangle and Trapezoid. We practiced our stamping skills while making a tree, our glueing skills while making a sea turtle, and our painting skills by brushing a large tooth with a real toothbrush and paint to look like toothpaste. We leaned about healthy foods that make our teeth happy and sweet treats that make our teeth sad. We also ate an Oreo that left lots of black crumbs on our teeth and then ate an apple that cleaned them all up! Tiny Tim, the Sea Turtle, appeared in the love box to teach us his song about swimming in the bathtub. The ending was a huge hit when Tiny Tim’s bubble pops!
Top Dogs Class News: This week we met Mr. T, Tall teeth. He brought us a toothbrushes, toothpaste and tops. He brought his transporter that carried him to different countries including, India, France, Sweden, Japan, China and Nigeria. He brought us dress up clothes that represented each. Mr. T made to Ireland, where he talked to the king of leprechauns, Lucky and got us a bunch of goodies for our Saint Patrick’s day scavenger hunt! (for next Tuesday). We enjoyed our popcorn party we earned from Right to Read Weeks!
