Playful Bunnies Class News-
The Bunnies had such a fun week! We read We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen many times during our camping theme, and this week we went on a real bear hunt! It was so much fun – going through the grass, river, mud, forest, snowstorm, and cave to get to a bear!!  We also talked about the weather, graphed it and read some fun weather books. During craft time, we painted campfires with our hands, painted a bear mask and used stickers to decorate a kite. Fun week!

Cool Cats Class News: The Cool Cats are so thankful to get outside to enjoy the Weather and learn about the letter W.   We also covered the number 12 and a pentagon.   We reinforced the shape by doing a shape hunt during meeting time.  We did a stamping Worm craft and read a book about Worm Weather that brings the worms to the surface. We also read a book called Watermelon Seed and practiced our scissor skills by cutting green and pink strips of paper to make a watermelon.  We went out to the patio at school and observed the clouds and tried to find shapes in the clouds just like the book, Looks Like Spilled Milk.  Our Weather this week cooperated!

Top Dogs News:   This week we met Mr. “W” and learned about “Wardrobe”.  We enjoyed pocket day, apron day, hat day and button day.  We read “My Apron” by Eric Carle, “Whose Hat?”, “Old Hat, New Hat”, “Caps for Sale” and “Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons”.  We met Mr. W who brought us some watermelon water, some worms and watermelon airheads.   We also began practicing for the end of the year letter people musical/graduation.
