Classroom Valentine’s Day Parties -Thursday, February 11th 2016-Afternoon class attends in morning

Here’s the scoop on our Valentine’s day parties: Our Valentine’s day parties will take place during our typical school day. Each class, Panda Bears, Very Hungry Caterpillars, and Very Busy Spiders will each enjoy a classroom party on Thursday, February 11th.  We will be asking the afternoon (VHS class) to attend from 9:15-11:45 a.m. for a combined party with the VHC class.  
We would like each student to make or buy valentines to hand out to his or her preschool pals. (Valentine’s Class list will be posted under upcoming events.)  You only need to make valentines for your own class, even though we are combining the morning and afternoon classes.  Please bring your valentines in a seperate bag than your valentine’s day collecting box.  

We would also like each student to make a special Valentine’s day box to collect his, or her valentines in. Shoeboxes, paper grocery sacks, etc. tend to work well. Foil, stickers, and doilies usually are easy items for preschoolers to use to decorate with. You may want to even put your child’s picture and name on the outside of the “collector”. Please keep in mind that in this case bigger is usually better. Please place Valentine’s in a bag separate than the collecting box.

To make our party extra special, we will be serving pizza at the party.  Sarah Flagler, Graciella’s mom, will be making a sweet treat for both classes.  If your child does not like, or cannot have pizza, or the sweet treat, feel free to pack something for them and place it in the wagon.

Summary:  Make/buy valentines for own class, place in a bag to pass out from, make a box for collecting, party for preschool pals only from 9:15-11:45 all classes on Thursday, February 11th.  Pizza/sweet treat will be served.  (Pack something if your child has food restrictions.) We do not have school on Friday, February 12th.
