Friday-May Fete and have a great summer!

Playful Bunnies Class News:  This week the bunnies continued our flower theme. The bunnies have been hard at work in our flower shop in the playroom. They enjoyed taking flower orders and creating beautiful bouquets. This week we also talked and read fairy tale books. The bunnies voted on which book they wanted to read each day. We reviewed shapes, numbers, and colors. We also sang and danced to some of our favorite songs we learned this year. During craft we painted bubble wrap and made beautiful flower art, drew with chalk on paper, made flower sticker art, and played with “birthday” play dough. Happy birthday to Josie and Ari and thank you for the delicious donuts!

Cool Cats Class News: The Cool Cats had an awesome SCIENE WEEK!!!!   We spent the week exploring magnets, mixing colors, trying new STEM challenges like keeping the bears out of the lava and creating marshmallow towers, funneling rice, weighing and measuring items, graphing, learning about the water cycle, and testing gravity/physics laws with balls and ramps.   We performed several experiments including making a rainbow of flowers from white carnations, creating a rainbow with skittles, making it rain through clouds of shaving cream, battling germs with soap (pepper served as the germs), and creating our own lava jars with oil and water to compare different densities of liquids.   We hope the Cool Cats enjoyed SCIENCE WEEK as much as their teachers!!!!   The pictures speak to the joy and amazement we shared this week at school learning new things!

Top Dogs News:  This week we practiced, practiced and practiced!  We met Mr. Y who brought us yo-yo’s, yogurt covered pretzels, yoo-hoos and yarn.  We read “old yarns” each day-“The Three Billy Goats Gruff”, “The Little Red Hen”, “The Three Bears” and “The Gingerbread Man”.   We worked on wrapping up assessment and got outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.
