Preschool Office News:  (Mrs. Cindy)- Please turn all in all outstanding tuition.  Thanks!

Mixed-up Chameleons News-(MUC)-Kindergarten Preparation class-(Mrs. Sandy & Mrs. Mandy)-What a great day at school!  Today we learned about the breads/cereal/carbohydrate group and worked on our food collage.  We also added out favorite food to our “All About Me” books and counted and sorted food for our food drive. We read the book Gregory, the Horrible Eater and sang “We like to eat…”.  We had a shape lesson on a triangle and everyone participated in songs and activities to help distinguish a triangle.  For a bonus activity, we talked about different kinds of triangles:  equilateral, right, scalene, etc.  Father Eric visited the students today and talked to them about Thanksgiving.

Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News:  (Mrs. Sandy & Mrs. Mandy)-  This week we have been very busy getting ready for our Thanksgiving feast performances.  We have been practicing songs about colorful leaves & trees, scarecrows, Earl the squirrel & acorns, pumpkins, turkeys, and thanksgiving!  We also have been learning about a different food group each day.  So far, we have talked about grouping fruits, vegetables, and meat/proteins.  Our classes have been working on working in cooperative learning groups, (CLG’S), and rotating to learning stations.  We have found this helpful in encouraging our students to interact with different preschool pals and explore different learning areas in our classroom

Friday Enrichment News-(Mrs. Susan)-(9:15-11:45)   Our Thanksgiving theme will continue this week.  First they learned how to set the table, now we need to make dessert!  This week will be letter J.  I have enjoyed seeing what each child has been bringing in for our letter of the week. Letter I seemed to be a challenge but many were quite creative.  The children have also enjoyed outside playtime and will continue to unless it rains so dress accordingly.

Brown Bear/Polar Bear News:  (Mrs. Katrina & Mrs. Kim) We have been practicing our Thanksgiving songs and creating fun fall crafts in anticipation for our Feast.  We can’t wait to sing for everyone on Tuesday!
