- MUC field trip to the art museum and butterfly show. Arrive at preschool at 9:00 a.m. dressed in spiritwear and with a throw-away lunch. Pick-up at 12:45.
Preschool Office News: (Mrs. Cindy)- Thanks for a great night at the art show and all those delicious goodies! Also, thanks so much for the Bike-a-thon $$$!
Mixed-up Chameleons News-(Kindergarten Preparation Class)- “W” is for wrap-up. Today we wrapped up many items including wardrobe, black, 22, our poem “Spring Rain” and many other activities! By request, we read the Pete the Cat Christmas book and ate lunch early because everyone said they were “just starving” after our 90 minute group learning time. Just a quick reminder to pack a drink for lunch on Fridays.
Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News- This week we continued to get ready for the art show. We read the book Shoes by Bridget Drees and traced and cut out our tracings of our shoes for art. We “sang” One, Two, Buckle My Shoe and read the book Animals Should Definitely Not Wear Clothing and Shoes by Elizabeth Winthrop. We participated in the music and movement song “Sammy” by Hap Palmer, had our color lesson focusing on black, Participated in calendar activities, worked with the number 22, learned about a parallelogram, and learned the “ABC Rock” song. We participated in “Parade of Colors” and “What are you Wearing?” by Hap Palmer. We talked about our favorite colors and read Emeraldlicious for Mrs. Sandy’s favorite color: Green! We also enjoyed our parent readers visiting our classroom.
Friday Enrichment Class with Mrs. Susan: The children shared their letter “Y” items today and read Chicka, Chicka, Boom Boom with Mrs. Cindy. We then split up the classes and Mikey C., Will, and Marty went with the MUC class. Ani, Charlie, and Mikey R. went with the Panda Bear class.
Panda Bear News: (Mrs. Katrina & Mrs. Kim)- We are celebrating spring! We will be doing our Beehive fingerplay and our Umbrellas feltboard story. We will continue to sing the song “It is raining” and we will add the song “10 Little Bunnies.” On Monday, we will be making umbrellas during art time. Hopefully, we will not need them!
