Playful Bunnies News:  The bunnies had a fun week learning about Halloween, the letter G, and finishing up the farm. This week the bunnies used their fine motor skills to pull apart cotton balls and glue them on a lamb mask. We also used golf balls to paint a pumpkin. The bunnies also got to make faces on the pumpkins. We will use the pumpkins for the Halloween program. During circle time, we read and retold the story, Five Little Pumpkins. We also matched different types of pumpkins. The bunnies also are beginning to recognize the first letter in their names! What a fun week!

Cool Cats News: The Cool Cats learned all about the letter H, hearts and the number 2. They stamped hearts, made a hedgehog, enjoyed outdoor time and we even found time to practice our Halloween songs. After our second meeting time, the kids move on to art. They are shown what we are making, given all the supplies and set free to make it their own, knowing that it will hang in our hallway. They also know to put their supplies away when they are finished, push their chair in and place their artwork in the “pizza oven” drying rack. The Cats are learning to be independent and love when they accomplish something on their own!

Top Dogs News: This week we played lots of Games with Mr. G Gooey Gum!   We then had a “Blink” Walk with Glow sticks and then played “Guess the Glow” with a Halloween Flashlight.  We read “Goodnight Moon”, “Goodnight Goon”, “Ghosts in the house”, a bunch of Curious George books, “Go, Dog, Go” and “Go Away, Big Green Monster”.  Our song of the week is “Float Little ghosts” and our clean up song is “Ghostbusters”.  We began learning more about body parts with “Mr. Bones” and began to work on our big show for the Halloween party!
