Playful Bunnies Class News- We finished up our camping theme this week with our super fun Bear Hunt. We’ve read, listened to the audiobook version, and retold it with our story basket so many times, we were so ready for it! So much fun! The book is We’re Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen – I bet your Bunny can read it to you. We also read books about Spring and Spring weather. For crafts, we painted a bear mask, decorated a kite with stickers, painted spring buds on a tree and played with playdough. Fun week!
Cool Cats Class News: ‘W’ is for Worms, Watermelon, and Wolves! We had a great weekend studying the letter W. We read some really fun books about worms and watermelon seeds growing in our tummies. Apparently one of the grandpa’s DID eat a watermelon seed and told one of our students he had a watermelon growing in his belly. We had lots of laughs about that. We practiced our wolf howling and not only read about worms, but dug some up on the playground.
We have begun to let the Cool Cats help teach at meeting time. The three jobs are Calendar, Letter/Shape/Number, and Weather. The students have LOVED being Mrs. Susan’s special helper! We can’t get over how much our class has grown and developed as students!
Top Dogs News: This week we met Mr. “W” and learned about “Wardrobe”. We enjoyed apron day, hat day and button day. We read “My Apron” by Eric Carle, “Whose Hat?”, “Old Hat, New Hat”, “Caps for Sale” and “Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons”. We met Mr. W who brought us some watermelon stickers, some worms and had us workout with an obstacle course. We also began practicing for the end of the year letter people musical/graduation.
