Playful Bunnies Class News: The bunnies finished up our Flower and Spring theme and are enjoying pretending to be vets in our backyard playroom. During craft, the bunnies enjoyed painting flowers with corks, making a flower garden, and playing with our new play dough tools! During circle time we met our last letter puppet, Zoey the Zebra! We also enjoyed Pete the Cat books and reviewing numbers, colors, and shapes. One of our favorite Pete the Cat books was Pete the Cat: I love My White Shoes by Eric Litwin. What a fun week!
Cool Cats Class News: The Cool Cats had a great week that included a field trip to the Library. Thank you Mrs. Susan and Miss Jennifer (the children’s librarian) for planning and hosting our trip. The Cool Cats experienced returning and checking out books, toured the library including the offices behind the desks, participated in an exclusive story time, and made a flower craft. The families all received a goodie bag from Miss Jennifer. Please check out the printed calendar or the Library’s website for fun programming over the summer. We also introduced the Cool Cats to wordless books this week. These type of books encourage active imaginations and story telling skills. The Library is a great resource for these unique books.
Top Dogs News: This week we practiced, practiced and practiced! We met Mr. Y who brought us yo-yo’s, yarn and Yoo-hoos.. We read “old yarns” each day-“The Three Billy Goats Gruff”, “The Little Red Hen”, “The Three Bears” and “The Gingerbread Man”. We worked on wrapping up assessment and got outside to enjoy the beautiful weather.
