Playful Bunnies News-H is for Halloween! This week the bunnies had so much fun reading Halloween books and making Halloween crafts! During circle time, the bunnies read: Big Pumpkin by Erica Silverman, Little Blue Truck’s Halloween by Alice Schertle, and Go Away, Big Green Monster by Ed Emberley. The bunnies also did Halloween themed matching, retold Little Blue Truck’s story, and reviewed shapes. During craft, the bunnies made a shape witch and practiced fine motor skills by putting Halloween stickers on a witch’s hat. What a fun, happy week!

Cool Cats News- We had a split week focusing on the Letter ‘I’, the number 2, and a star. We learned the two sounds ‘I’ makes and read books about Igloos, and Ice Cream and made companion crafts.   The second half of the week we celebrated Halloween!   We have read lots of Halloween books and did two sticker crafts.  On Monday we will play spooky Halloween Bingo. The Cool Cats are practicing their songs for the Halloween performance.  They are great singers!  We hope they don’t get stage ‘fright’ on Tuesday.  Our pictures this week are taken in the Muscle Room.  When we finish our craft and clean up we head to the muscle room to run off the last bits of energy stored up from sitting quietly for snack, second meeting, and craft time.  Our muscle room time is a fan favorite!

Top Dogs News-H is for Horrible Hair!  Haunted Houses, Halloween Candy, and Hullubaloo!  Black was the color of the week.   We practiced for our upcoming Halloween program, learned about the parts of the body, days of the week and all about autumn.  We read “It’s Halloween” by Jack Prelutsky, “The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything”, and “The Halloweiner” by Dav Pilkey.  Our song of the week was “Stomp Little Monsters”.
