Playful Bunnies Class News: The Bunnies learned a lot about Firefighters and the Letter F from our puppet friend, Frances the Firefighter. She brought a lot of books about firetrucks and a lot of firetrucks and firefighter toys to play with. We painted with red and yellow at the easel to make some pretend fire and to make the color orange! We are also continuing with our farm theme. We watched a video showing a real chick hatching out of an egg and then hatched our own painted chicks. We worked on some number identification and counting skills using our wooden toy eggs. We painted with toilet paper tubes to put colorful eggs in a nest. Really fun week with the Bunnies!

Cool Cats Class News: The Cool Cats learned about the letter ‘G’, the number 2, and an oval. They read books about Giraffe’s, a Gruffalo, and started leaning a Halloween song since there are Goblins and Ghosts featured in it. The Cool Cats did a stamping Giraffe craft, glueing Gruffalo craft, and gum ball machine with dotter gum balls. They even were able to put a penny in a real gum ball machine to retrieve ‘craft’ gum balls to sort the colors. Friday for Music and Movement we sang the song ‘Bubble Gum Bubble Gum in a Dish, how many pieces do you wish?’ and practiced our counting. Happy Fall Cool Cats, it’s been glorious outside this week!

Top Dogs Class News: For our letter F this week, we met Mr. Funny Feet and boy, was he funny! Each day he told us a new joke and a new Fire safety skill. We learned all about the color Orange and Fire Safety: Stop, Drop and Roll, Never play with dangerous fire things, Crawl Low under smoke, When there is a fire get out and stay out, Go to your family meeting place, and call 911 in an emergency. We read books about Froggy, Fall, Fingers, Feet, Flies, Foxes, Fish and Fire Safety. Our song of the week is “Never, Never, Play with Matches”.
