Mixed-up Chameleons News-(Pre-K)- (Mrs. Sandy & Mrs. Mandy)-Today we had lots of Groundhog day fun! We made a groundhog that pops out of his hole, learned a groundhog tongue twister, a groundhog poem, and read some groundhog books. Mrs. Sandy will be traveling to Marion, Ohio, this weekend with her family to see Ohio’s groundhog, Buckeye Chuck. Let’s hope he doesn’t see his shadow!
Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News: (Mrs. Sandy & Mrs. Mandy)- We wrapped up our unit on People with Occupations in our Neighborhood this week. We have enjoyed all of the parent guest speakers, building and working with our recycled neighborhood, our Community Helper performance, and our field trip to the fire and police station! What a lot of practical, common sense knowledge we have learned from this unit.
Friday Enrichment News-(Mrs. Susan)-(9:15-11:45)- The children enjoyed getting very messy painting their bird houses. They should be sent home this week if not next week so you can hang them up in your yard. This week we will be expanding on the snow theme by talking about hibernation, in particular bears. The children will get to make a circle bear using their cutting skills, go on a bear hunt and get a chance to hibernate ! This week’s letter is R.
