Mrs. Sandy's Summer Adventures-O.A.R.D.C.-Secrest Arboretum-Buckeye Forest-Wooster, Ohio
Dear Preschool Pals,
If you ever find yourself traveling down Route 30 around Wooster, Ohio, a great place to stop for a break and picnic lunch is the Secrest Arboretum. Here you will find beautiful rose gardens, lovely walking paths, and all different kinds of flora and fauna. You will also find a great nature play area that includes giant turtles to climb on, tunnels to crawl through and a slide built in a hillside that measures over 30 feet long to slide down! There is also the John Streeter Garden Amphitheater that hosts different educational shows. Abe, Cal, and I were able to go to the Whiz-bang! Science Show about rockets. Dr. John hooked up some rockets to his car battery and boy, did they fly! He also explained the science behind the different rockets that were launched. Maybe some day you will get to visit here, too!
