Mixed-up Chameleons News-(Kindergarten Preparation Class)- We made fancy pants for art, participated in the music and movement song “What are you Wearing” by Hap Palmer, learned more about the color orange, worked on our calendar activities including a birthday sorting activity, played “lucky number”, worked with shape recognition and changed all of our names to start with the letter “W”.
Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News- This week we worked on getting ready for our art show and made a class sculpture using recycled materials with Mrs. Mandy. We loved listening to our guest parent readers and have enjoyed reading the books Katy No Pocket, Caps for Sale, Whose Hat? and Goggles. We all counted our pockets and figured out who had the most and who had the least. We discussed why people wear hats and each preschool pal talked about the hat they were wearing. We ended the week by breaking into small groups and working on cooperative interactions and team work.
Friday Enrichment Class with Mrs. Susan: Today we read “It Looked Like Spilt Milk” by Charles Shaw and then we made our own clouds. Next week there is no class due to Easter break. When we return our letter will be Y.
Panda Bear News: (Mrs. Katrina & Mrs. Kim)- The kids have been enjoying our Jelly Bean felt board story and our Bunny fingerplay. We will to continue practicing our colors with Easter eggs and the letter next week will be V. Look for some fun spring and Easter art projects coming home next week.
