Summer Camp-Day #2-MLKJ Day

Today we learned about “a man who had a dream, whose name was Martin Luther King!” We talked about segregation and had a dance party to celebrate the ending of it.  We made freedom necklaces for art and freedom chips for cooking/snack; bananas and Kool-aid mix. 🙂  We read books about MLKJ and learned a song about him.  We also reviewed Memorial day and talked about Flag day coming up on June 14th.  All the summer campers worked really hard to be a Merry Moose and seemed to really enjoy another fun day of summer camp!
