Halloween Party and Parade News-Friday, October 27th, 2023, 9:00-10:15 with family (No regular classes)

It’s that time of the year, when leaves are falling from the trees and jack-o-lanterns are glowing bright. There is a nip in the air and the days are getting shorter, which means it must be time for the A&HT Wyoming Preschool Halloween Party! I hope the following information and schedule will be helpful to you as the day approaches.

Schedule-Please drop off your costumed Preschool Pal to his, or her classroom at 9:00 a.m. At 9:05, we will begin the parade.  We will then have each class sing songs in the sanctuary.

Sign-ups-Be on the look out for a sign-up genius e-mail coming to your inbox, or remind. If you are interested, or able, please sign up to bring in a supply for our party. Plus, you are free to take home any, or all of the extra supplies you have brought in. If you have your own idea for a table/game please let us know. We would be more than happy to add another activity.  If possible, please bring your supply to school three days before the Party.

Game Stations-We will be having various game stations and art activities set up at our Halloween party. Instead of asking for volunteers to help facilitate the games, most of the games will be self-run. This means that when you and your child come to a game station, you will help facilitate the game with your child and then have your child pick out a prize from the prize bucket. We hope this will free you up to spend more time with your child during the party. Thanks!

Costumes-On the day of the party, we would like each child to dress-up in some type of costume. It can be as simple, or as elaborate as you would like it to be. If possible please refrain from any very scary costumes, blood, and gore. Parents, please dress up too, if you would like. All of the teachers will be in costume as well.

Parade- After everyone has arrived in their classroom, we will have the ghosts and goblins march around the outside of the church. (The parade route will be up Worthington, left on Burns, and then the children will enter the sanctuary for a short performance of songs. (If the weather is poor, we will parade around the sanctuary.) We would like all parents, families, and guests to line up around the sidewalk area to view the parade. Don’t forget your camera; pictures are a must! After the parade is completed, please join us inside for our party.

Siblings- We are more than happy to have siblings, friends, cousins, etc. join us for the party. All family members are welcome! Our goal is to make this a wonderful event for the whole family and hopefully a way to continue to create happy family memories together! We also ask you to please help keep a watch on your guests, and to not let them run around like maniacs. 🙂
