Cool Cats News:
‘L’ is for Legos, Llamas, and Lobsters. We have enjoyed a week of all things Lego. We have 3 sizes of Lego bricks out and the Cool Cats have showed an aptitude for building with all three sizes. We stamped with Legos and made a Lion craft practicing our scissor skills for the mane. As the weather has cooled off we are practicing our independence skills by learning to take our coats off, putting our coats on, zipping our coats up, hanging our coats on the hook, and remembering to take our hats and gloves home at the end of the day. The Cool Cats get very excited when they can accomplish these tasks by themselves! We also had Crosby, the service dog, and his handler, Roxy, visit the classroom. We have a few dog lovers among the Cat class!
Playful Bunnies News: Planes, trains, and automobiles! We continued our transportation until this week. We also continued our grocery store and talked about Thanksgiving. This week we used our fine motor skills with peeling stickers to make both land transportation and air transportation art. We also made a fall tree learning how to use Elmer’s glue. We also got to use cars in shaving cream to make roads! During circle time we learned about the Letter K, transportation, and Thanksgiving. The bunnies had a lot of fun with number identification with Turkey feathers! What a fun week!
Top Dogs News: This week we wrapped up Mr. J and his jumbled junk. We reviewed circle and triangle and learned all about squares. We practiced for our Thanksgiving show and played a new game in gym called “Turkey on the Farm”. We counted lots of items for our Giving Project.
