Friday-Regular Classes and Top Dogs bring in an example of an opposite!
Playful Bunnies Class News-This week the bunnies continued learning about the letter P and space. We continued blasting off in space in our playroom. We added a moon rover and explored “moon rocks”. During craft time, we read space books, used our fine motor skills to put space stickers in the night sky, and made stars and planets out of playdough. Many of our bunnies love purple, so we had a purple day! We read Harold and the Purple Crayon, made a purple collage, and had a purple sensory table. During circle time, we read Pigeon books by Mo Willems, read The Three Little Pigs and retold the story, and we read and sang a new favorite book of ours by Eric Litwin, The Nuts: Sing and Dance in Your Polka Dot Pants. What a fun week!
Cool Cats Class News-The Cool Cats continue to love blasting off to space! 🚀 We are learning about the letter ‘R’ this week, the number 15 and a hexagon. We really enjoyed the Rocket and Robot crafts along with the companion books. We also hade fun learning about Rainbows.🌈 There is a fun song we sang to help the children remember the rainbow color oder to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle. We have introduced ‘Rainbow Writing’ in the center room to learn tracing large letter patterns. This week the Cool Cats all wrote their own names on their one on one projects with Mrs. Susan and their art work. What progress they have made!
Top Dogs News: This week we worked on rhyming words and patterning. We met Mr. P, Pointy Patches the Party Planner, who is helping us get ready for our Valentine’s Day party! He brought us Popcorn, Pretzels and Pepperoni for our Valentine’s Day party. He also brought us the game “Pretty, Pretty, Princess.” We read the books “Popcorn” ,”Pete the Cat’s Perfect Pizza Party” and some Valentines Day books.
