Playful Bunnies News: We hope everyone had a wonderful winter break! We had a fun, short week! This week was all about the letter R and robots! We read a great book called Boy + Bot by Ame Dyckman, made a robot space craft where they created their own robots, and made robots out of play dough. We also had so much fun dancing to The Robot Song by Danny Go! . It was so great having our bunnies back!
Cool Cats News: 🌈 The Cool Cats explored the letter ‘R’, the number 10, and a Rectangle this week. Our week was full of Rainbows. We learned a catchy song to the tune of ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ that recites all the colors of the rainbow. We did 3 rainbow crafts and read a fun book called ‘Mixed’ that showed us how mixing primary colors make orange, purple, and many other colors too. We allowed the students to mix their own paint colors of the rainbow to see what new colors they could make. The Cool Cats LOVE rainbows!🌈
Top Dogs Class News: This week we met Mr. R, ripping rubberbands, who brought us some rubberbands, things for relay races and Reese’s Hearts. We began our Right to Read weeks by learning more about Dr. Seuss, Ezra Jack Keats and Maurice Sendak. We have earned 1 piece of popcorn so far, for our at home reading logs. We need 10 more pieces to earn a popcorn party! We worked on assessing name recognition, same and different pictures, and sequencing. We even enjoyed Girl Scout cookie tastings!
