Playful Bunnies Class News-The Bunnies made it to the letter Z! Zelda the Zebra puppet came to our circle time and we’ve been celebrating all of the letters. We sang the alphabet song really loud, really beautifully, and jumped up and down while singing. We read Ooops, Pounce, Quick, Run: an alphabet caper and the Bunnies could point out so many of the letters! We also took turns picking items from a mystery bag, learning what letter they go with, and watching a teacher write the word. It really is impressive to see so much academic growth throughout the year. The Bunnies have been playing in the new Flower Shop in the playroom – taking flower orders, making bouquets, paying for the flowers, writing receipts, and delivering/sorting the flowers by color – so much work and so much fun! For crafts, we used corks to paint flowers on stems that we drew with a marker, made a cupcake flower, painted a beautiful spring tree, and painted big flowers on the easel. Lots of fun!

Cool Cats Class News-This week the Cool Cats wrapped up learning about all the letters with ‘Z’.  We did a zebra craft, a zinnia craft, labeling the parts of a flower, and a zoo map, complete with real life looking animal stickers. The Cool Cats have grown and learned so much this year.  Of course we are amazed at their letter recognition, first and last name recognition, writing their name, and counting objects up to 10+.   We are especially proud of all the ways they take care of themselves, each other, and their school.  We see them hanging up their backpacks and coats, washing their hands at the sink, putting away their toys, sitting on their dots quietly, standing in a straight line, keeping their hands to themselves, opening their lunch boxes on their own, putting on and zipping their own coats, and packing up their backpacks at the the end of the day.  This group of amazing students are ready to move on to the Top Dog class and beyond!   Well done Cool Cats!!!!🐈

Top Dogs Class News: This week we started with our Top Dogs news, met Mr. X, who was very mixed-up and practiced a lot for our upcoming Letter People Musical/Graduation.  We read different versions of the “Three Little Pigs” and compared and contrasted the stories.
