Office News-There are still a few medical forms that need to be turned in. Please sent them in as soon as possible. :).
TOP DOGS News-This week we met Mister B who has Beautiful Buttons. He brought us lots of fun things that start with the letter “B”-balls, a bus puzzle, “Don’t Spill the Beans” game, bears and buttons. We ended the week with a brilliant bubble battle! We learned all about the color blue. We read lots of books about bears and “The Wheels On the Bus”. We learned about being “Out of Order” with our preschool pal Ollie and talked about how to “Stop, Think & Act”. We learned about being “Chip the Wonder Dog” and not an “Awful Augie”.
PLAYFUL BUNNIES News-This week the bunnies had a wonderful week learning about the letter B. In the playroom we had a fun time pretending to drive a bus. We love singing the song, “The Wheels on the Bus”. We had a new puppet friend, Bianca the Ballerina, who taught us about the letter B. We read some books including: Never Snap at a Bubble by Yvonne Winer and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. We also painted a brown bear mask to go with our book that we read. What a fun week!
Cool Cats News-Happy 3rd Birthday Greyson! Thank you for the yummy mini donuts! The Cool Cats enjoyed learning about the letter ‘B’ and a square this week. We did three crafts this week-gluing buttons, painting a hot air balloon with water colors, and a bear fork stamping craft. We read Pete the Cats Groovy Buttons and other great books that focus on nouns that start with ‘B’. Our pictures below demonstrate what the Cool Cats do in the Center Room when they arrive at school. Center Room time runs from 9-9:45. This a great opportunity for the students to choose what activities interest them. We have an art table, puzzle table, felt board, fine motor manipulative games, an imagination station, block station, and a book quiet area. The students are learning when ‘they put the toys away, they get more time to play’. We are encouraging them to clean up before they move on to a new activity. Also, we are able to do one on one projects during this time of our morning like gluing pictures on letters that have the same beginning sounds. We rotate activities every 1-2 weeks depending on interests and special themes throughout the year.
