Homemade Bubbles
I saw this done at the VBS at my church in Wooster:
You will need:
1/2-1 cup Dawn dishwashing detergent-(You could probably try some other kind to see if it would work.)
2 cups to 1 gallon of water-(You can use an old milk jug to measure the water.)
2-3 T glycerin-(You can find this at Wal-Mart by the First-aid supplies. You may be able to make the bubbles without this, but the glycerin makes them extra strong.)
1 large bowl, or dishpan
pipe cleaners bent into wand shapes, (I was surprised at how well these worked!) or old bubble wands
Start by mixing the first three ingredients in the dishpan. You may want to let this sit a little bit, for stronger bubbles. Play with the solution until you feel it is making good bubbles. If you want, add a little food coloring for colored bubbles. Have fun!
