Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News

Next week we will be learning about the letter “F”.

Fire-The Wyoming Fire Fighters are coming to visit, (Daniel Flagler’s dad is the assistant fire chief), on Tuesday.  If your child would like to wear a “fire” shirt they have from home, or dress up like a fire fighter, feel free.

Fish-If anyone is a fisherman, or has a relative that is in to fishing and would like to come and talk to the class about fishing, we would love it.  He or she could bring in their tackle box, rod, a book about fishing, pictures of fishing, etc. just to give you an idea of what could be done.  (They may want to hand out a swedish fish at the end?) Also, if anyone has a pet fish they would like to bring in to visit the class, that would be super, too.  I will be reading the book “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” to the class.

Flies/Fleas/Frogs- I am going to be reading the book “Five Green and Speckled Frogs” and teaching the class the song to go with it.  If anyone has a pet frog, or any fake rubber frogs, we would like to borrow them.  Also, if anyone has the original book “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly”, we would love to borrow it.  We are also hoping for some rubber flies/fleas to borrow, if anyone has those.  I will be reading the book “There Was a Coyote Who Swallowed a Flea”.

If anyone has some other “F” ideas, please let us know!
