Mixed-up Chameleons News-Kindergarten Preparation Class: What a busy day! We kicked off the day with a large game of “Duck, Duck, Goose”. We then got out the parachute and worked on an opposite lesson at the same time. We headed to the rainbow rug to work on our daily core curriculum activities, continued our author study with Donald Crews, and ended the day with our favorite books!
Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News: This week we studied the authors Dr Seuss and Eric Carle. We got new seats on the rainbow rug, made “fish in a dish” and “beautiful butterflies” in art. We are now on the letter “R”, color white, and shape oval. We have been working on learning rhyming words and opposites. Next week, we will continue our author study.
Friday Enrichment News-Dinosaur learning made for a very busy day before our snow day (week). The children made shape dinosaurs while reading the book “If Dinosaurs Came Back”. We also worked on our numbers while stamping dinosaurs. We are trying to work with the kids one on one, focusing on writing our names. This past week we talked about space. The kids made beautiful suns while getting a little messy! Next week is bears, the book “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt”, and the letter T.
Panda Bear News: Yeah! Think green! We will start on all of our St. Patrick’s Day crafts next week so don’t be surprised to see shades of green headed home on little hands. We will start our Shamrock feltboard story and we will start some farm themed songs and stories. It has been great seeing all of the kids this week. We really missed everyone during our week off!
