Summer Camp Day #3-Chickens!

Today at camp we went to storybook land and visited of all things, chickens.  We looked at a lot of different fairy tales that contained some kind of fowl:  The Little Red Hen, Chicken Little, Chicken Licken, The Ugly Duckling, and The Breman Town Musicians.  We had time to read “The Little Red Hen” and talked about how it is important to help our families.  We also read “The Little Red Hen Makes A Pizza”.  Then, for our cooking project we got to make our own mini pizzas!  We had relay races, painted our fossil art, and had a scavenger hunt.  We sang a bunch of camp songs:  “If Your Happy and You Know It”, “Deep and Wide”, “Father Abrabram”, “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes”, and “I Said a Boom Chikka Boom”.  Blu Trush, our Junior camp counselor, let the group in one of her favorite camp songs.  Finally, we would like to give a shout out to our two Science Guy groupies, Alex Remington and Jackson Harness, who have been wearing their own science lab coats to camp.  The Science Guys noticed this and let them come and help them with today’s experiment:  “Elephant Toothpaste”.
