Mixed-up Chameleons News-Today we kicked off our day with some fun group songs in the muscle room, including “Boom, Chicka, Boom”.  We went up to the gym and played a newish game called “Old MacDonald’s Turkey Farm”.  We then had our group learning time where we focussed on circles and geography.  We split into teams and partners and made leaf men and intracted during learning centers.  We went “Inside Autumn”  and observed all the wonderful signs of fall the preschool pals brought in!

Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News: This week we had our pictures taken by “Dan, Dan the Photo Man”.  We also had a class picture taken that will be distributed later in the school year.  We got new assigned seats for November and kicked off our “I” unit.

Friday Enrichment News- The kids learned all about the letter “I” today.  First, we read “Ice Cream” by Elisha Cooper then made our own ice cream cones while counting how many scoops to put on the cone.  Then we read “The Iguana Brothers” by Tony Johnson.  The kids all made very abstract iguanas!  To finish our day, we read “Inchworm and a Half” by Elinor J. Pinches then pretended to be our own inchworms.  Next week letter “J”!

Panda Bear News: November is here. We have already started practicing some songs to sing for you at the Thanksgiving Feast. We are singing “The Leaves are Falling Down,” “I Eat Turkey,” and “Have You Ever Seen a Turkey?” The kids love our “Mr. Turkey” felt board story and our “Apple Surprise” finger play. We also have been having fun getting up and moving to “Scarecrow, Scarecrow, Turn Around.”  For art, we glued popcorn and leaves onto our corn and added colorful leaves to some trees. See you next Tuesday!
