Preschool Office News: Please turn in turn tuition, if you haven’t done so already. Thanks!

Mixed-up Chameleons News-(Kindergarten Preparation Class)-  Today we worked on writing our names, using uppercase and lowercase letters, writing our numbers 1-10, and drawing representative pictures of our families.  We also participated in the “Ultimate Challenge”.  🙂

Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News– This week was bike-a-thon week!  We got lots of exercise and did some testing for progress reports that should, hopefully, come home before Spring Break.  We made some cool cooking projects and began to discuss weather.

Friday Enrichment Class:  With the letter “W” the kids used watercolors for their letter o
f the week, read about a wombat and made whales.  Now that the kids can all recognize and spell their first names, we are moving on to last names.  We will start with visual recognition then move on to spelling.  The kids are doing a great job writing their names as well.  We are teaching them to use capital and lowercase letters, how to correctly hold a pencil and to start writing their names on the top left corner.  This is a great way to promote pre-reading skills by having them get used to always looking to the top left of papers.  Next week is letter “X”.

Panda Bear News:  This week we made leprechaun hats, played with slime/gak, and muddied some pigs.  Tommy the turtle sang our ABC’s with us, and Timmy the turtle was our mystery guest in our letter box.  The kids did great doing the bike-a-thon!  We had some kids really pedaling their hearts out.
