OFFICE NEWS- Thanks for turning in the forms!! It’s so helpful to get them in as soon as possible. If you haven’t turned in the medical form (signed by a doctor) for your child yet, please turn it in or let us know when we can expect it. Thank you so much!

TOP DOGS-This week we met Miss A who goes “A-a-a-choo!” After reading the book “Ten Apples Up On Top” by Theo LeSieg, Miss A brought us some apples which we tried to balance on our heads, just like in the book. This week, we also read books about school and animals, focusing on the “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” book and collection by Laura Numeroff. We engaged in an “Old MacDonald” flannel board, worked on learning our preschool rules through Chip the Wonder Dog, Awful Augie and the Preschool Pal books. We completed our color lesson on Red. Each Top Dog works on a color book throughout the week and takes it home to read to their family.

Cool Cats News- The Cool Cats had another great week and started the Letter of the Week curriculum. Each week we will introduce a new letter-upper case and lower case, discuss the sounds it makes, and go over pictures that have the beginning sound like Apple, Astronaut, and Apron. We will read books that use the letter of the week with subjects like Airplanes, Apples, Ants, and Alligators. Also, we will do crafts associated with the Letter like an Apple gluing craft, Apple sticker Craft, and an Ant Hill stamping craft. Our pictures this week feature our outdoor large muscle time that runs from 9:45-10:30. The Cool Cats love the playground and all the climbing equipment. Sometimes we introduce sidewalk chalk and paintbrushes to wash the chalk away with water. The children love to paint the playground (with water only)!

Playful Bunnies News-This week the bunnies had a fun time learning about the letter A and bugs! During circle time, we had our first letter puppets, Alex the Alligator, who taught us a new song, 5 Little Monkeys Swinging in a Tree. He also brought books about bugs and our first letter mystery box! This week it had an apple, alligator, ant, and avocado in it. The bunnies love crafts! They enjoyed painting a big piece of paper which will become a retelling of The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The bunnies also learned how to use glue sticks and glued ants to fruit. The bunnies are quickly learning the routine at school and are also enjoying playing with their new friends!
