TOP DOGS News-This week we met Mister B who has Beautiful Buttons. He brought us lots of fun things that start with the letter “B”-buttons, balls and a bead bracelet making activity. We read about a preschool pal named Harvey, who goes Hulabaloo-runs around the classroom making loud noises. We learned that we do not go hullabaloo in the classroom, but on the playground and in the muscle room, it is fine. We learned our preschool pals hand clap chant-“Stop, Think and Act, Here come the Preschool Pals, Stop, Think Act!” We read books about bears by Eric Carle, Berenstein Bear books, and read and sang about “The Wheels on the Bus”. We worked at art on our large color books, as well as on our mini blue color books. If you get a chance, have your preschool pal read it to you!

PLAYFUL BUNNIES News-The Bunnies had a great week. We’ve been learning about Bugs and the letter B. We have little bugs on the block table – fun to build towers for them. We also have colorful worms in the sensory table filled with rice. Fun!
We colored butterflies with markers, decorated a butterfly using tissue paper on contact paper. We also read and retold Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See? using the felt board, magnets, and brown bear masks that we painted. Fun week!!

Cool Cats News-The COOL Cats had a HOT week! We leaned about the letter ‘B’ and the sound it makes by feeling the puff of air that comes out of our mouth when we make that sound. We discovered a new month called September and we celebrated two birthdays. Happy 4th Birthday Greyson and Drew! And thank you for bringing in yummy treats to share with your friends. We learned to use a glue bottle, glueing on very tiny Buttons to a letter B. Our helpful phrase is ‘dot, dot, not a lot.’ We also used water color paints to decorate a hot air ballon and a fork stamping craft to make a furry Brown Bear. Thanks to all who sent in their summer fun posters. The Cool Cats enjoyed sharing and learning about their new friends. Also, thank you to all who contributed to our Bike a Thon fundraiser. We were able to purchase a new Fisher Price Ramp. The Cool Cats helped us ‘unbox’ our new toy and helped put it together in class.
