Olympic Laurel Wreaths
Throughout the years of the Olympic games, the laurel wreath has represented honor and victory to many winning athletes. Abe and Cal brought home some great laurel wreaths they made in Olympic camp, that I thought would be a great home project. You will need a paper plate, scissors, real or paper leaves, and some glue. Cut the center out of the paper plate. You may need to help younger children get started, but let them try to cut out the center with as little help as possible. (It’s okay if it is not perfect. It’s more important that they work on their cutting skills.) Either go outside and find some leaves, or make your own paper leaves. Take your leaves and glue them to the paper plate ring, and you have your very own laurel wreath to wear during the olympic games. 🙂
