Preschool Office News:  (Mrs. Cindy)- We’re still collecting bike-a-thon money!  Also, we are taking registration forms for summer camp and if you are still thinking about registering for preschool in the fall, this is the time to do to make sure you get your spot.

Mixed-up Chameleons News-(Kindergarten Preparation Class)-  Today we read the books The Surprise Garden and Planting a Rainbow.  We planted grass seed and shared our favorite vegetables.  We talked about how vegetables need water and sun to grow.  We also enjoyed some extra recess time out on our sunny playground.

Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News-  We started off our week back from break by getting new seats on the rainbow rug, getting into new teams for centers and sharing our pictures of what we did over spring break.  In the VHC class, Fletcher B’s mom, Jackie, brought in the chicks to show that they hatched over the break to show.  We also reviewed our “HOW I ACT” chart to help us remember how to act at preschool.  We talked some about Easter and April Fool’s day, and then jumped into learning about Vegetables and growing things.   The VHC class enjoyed trying some green beans that Cooper Hinkel brought in, and both classes painted with celery and okra and listened to the story Growing Vegetable Soup.

Friday Enrichment Class with Mrs. Susan: We worked on “abstract” art today.  We started by reading “It Looked Like Spilt Milk” by Charles Shaw, then moved to the art room to create our own clouds.  After our clouds were in the sky, the children were able to sit back and look at their clouds and find out what they saw.  The children were excited to go outside to look at the clouds but by the time we went outside all the clouds were gone!  Next week we will be learning all about fashion and the letter X.

Panda Bear News:  (Mrs. Katrina & Mrs. Kim)-  We are talking about Easter this week and next.  The kids love our Jelly Bean felt board story and our Bunny fingerplay.  We also are practicing our colors with Easter eggs.  The letter next week will be X.  We are busy finishing up some art projects for the Art show.  We can’t wait for you to see all of their precious creations proudly displayed.
