Preschool Office News:  (Mrs. Cindy)- We’re still collecting bike-a-thon money!  Also, we are taking registration forms for summer camp and if you are still thinking about registering for preschool in the fall, this is the time to do to make sure you get your spot.

Mixed-up Chameleons News-(Kindergarten Preparation Class)-  We made fancy pants for art, participated in the music and movement song “Sammy” by Hap Palmer, learned more about the color pink, worked on our calendar activities including a birthday sorting activity, played “lucky number”, worked with shape recognition and changed all of our names to start with the letter “W”.  We read the books The Wizard of Wartville and The Emperor’s New Clothes.

Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Busy Spider News-  This week we worked on getting ready for our art show and made a class sculpture using recycled materials with Mrs. Mandy.  We loved listening to our guest parent readers and have enjoyed reading the books Katy No Pocket, Caps for Sale, Whose Hat? and Goggles.  We all counted our pockets and figured out who had the most and who had the least.  We discussed why people wear hats and each preschool pal talked about the hat they were wearing.  We ended the week by breaking into small groups and working on cooperative interactions and team work.

Friday Enrichment Class with Mrs. Susan:  The children really had a nice time dressing themselves in our art project today.  Be on the look out at the art show for the finished product.  Next week we will be learning about the letter Y and having a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom day

Panda Bear News:  (Mrs. Katrina & Mrs. Kim)- The kids still enjoy our Jelly Bean felt board story and our Bunny fingerplay.  We are still practicing our colors with Easter eggs.  The letter next week will be Y.  Our art projects for the art show are all finished.  Remember the art show is this coming Thursday.  All are welcome.  We look forward to seeing you there!
