Summer Camp-Day #1-Memorial Day
What a great first day of camp! The Summer Campers started their day with beading, crafts, muscle room fun and the potty program. We then moved into the classroom on the rainbow rug and sang our “Hello” song. We reminded everyone of camp rules and how they want to be like Max, and not Robert. We then talked about how Memorial Day is a day that we remember all the people who keep us safe in our country and how the flag helps us to remember that. We made a red, white and blue snack and did some red, white, and blue glitter marble painting. We “celebrated” Memorial Day by having a rhythm stick parade to “This Land is Your Land” by Woody Guthrie. We ate lunch, played outside and ended with a recap of what Memorial day is about.
