VHC, VBS, and MUC News

We’ve almost wrapped up our week with the letter “G” (Don’t forget MUC family members to come at 12:35 this Friday.)  and are looking forward to some fun learning activities with the letter “H”.  Here’s what we’re planning to do:

Monday, the 22nd-Happy!  We will sing “If You’re Happy and You Know It”, practice being happy for our school picture day, and make some grinning Jack-o-Lanterns.

Tuesday, the 23rd-Hoot!  We will be having Jeff Hays from Raptors, INC visit us at 10:30 a.m. with some owls.  He was only available to come in the morning, so if anyone from the afternoon class would like to join us for the program, you are welcome.  Also, if anyone has some good books about owls, we would be interested in borrowing them.

Thursday, the 25th-Halloween!  We will continue learning about Halloween, talking about fears and how to handle them.  We will also read the book “There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat” and make some bats for whole-group art.

Friday, the 26th-House!  We will be reviewing addresses and phone numbers this day and talking about families and houses.  We will read “There’s a Nightmare In My Closet” and “Where the Wild Things Are”.

Monday, the 29th-Haunted!  Today we will make haunted houses and go for a not so spooky walk.  During the walk, we will meet Halloween friends and sing a song about each.

Tuesday, the 30th-Happy Halloween!  It’s Halloween Party Time!

The Week of November 5th we will be beginning to learn about Fall, Thanksgiving, and Nutrition.  Our letters for the month will be I, J, and K.
