Stomach Flu Research from Wyoming Schools

The following was sent out to Wyoming Families who have school age children.  Since a lot of families have been hit with this at the preschool, it may be helpful for you guys to fill out the survey, too.

Dear Parents and Staff Members,

As you may know, during the week of November 12 through November 16, the schools had a higher than normal absentee rate due to gastrointestinal illness or “stomach flu.” Hamilton County Public Health (HCPH) has asked for the district’s cooperation as they seek to gather data for the purpose of understanding this cluster of illness. This type of data analysis is part of the HCPH’ s mission in protecting the public health and environment.

HCPH is asking parents of students and staff members in the Primary Division to complete an on-line survey to assist in their efforts. It will remain open through Wednesday, December 5th and is completely voluntary.

The survey can be accessed online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WyomingSchools When prompted, enter the password “wyoming2012”—all lower case— to access the survey.

All students and staff are encouraged to complete the survey even if they did not experience any illness. If you are unable to complete the survey online but would like to participate, please call HCPH at (513) 946-7924.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

Dr. Susan Brunke Assistant Superintendent
